LANSING, Mich. — State Sen. Kim LaSata on Thursday announced Bit of Swiss as the July recipient of her Small Business of the Month award.
LaSata recently toured the Stevensville-based bakery and presented Bakery Manager Jessica Hernandez with the award.
“Bit of Swiss is an area staple, having served its devoted customers award winning breads, pastries and cakes for 54 years. I had such an enjoyable time during my behind-the-scenes tour and especially getting to help with some bakery preparations,” said LaSata, R-Coloma. “My congratulations to Bit of Swiss, owners Tim and Pat Foley, and their dedicated employees for being selected as our July Small Business of the Month. Très bien!”
Bit of Swiss was nominated for its artisanal creations, outstanding customer service and unique, French ambiance.
The Foleys also own the bread+bar in Benton Harbor.
