LANSING, Mich. — State Sen. Kim LaSata reminded Southwest Michigan residents that her second annual Kim’s Coat Drive for Kids is underway.
The event, which runs through Oct. 31, is an effort to collect new or gently used coats for children throughout Southwest Michigan.
“This year’s Kim’s Coat Drive for Kids is underway and going strong,” said LaSata, R-Bainbridge Township. “Anyone who would like to donate a new or gently used coat to help Southwest Michigan youth should call or email my office, and we’ll arrange to have the items picked up.”
LaSata is coordinating with local school districts to distribute the donated coats to children in the 21st Senate District.
For more information or to schedule a donated coat pickup, call 517-373-6960 or email [email protected].
“As colder temperatures set in, many kids throughout Southwest Michigan will find themselves without a warm jacket that fits,” LaSata said. “I hope Southwest Michiganders will join Kim’s Coat Drive for Kids and donate new and gently used coats and jackets for area youth.”
