LANSING, Mich. — State Sen. Kim LaSata said Tuesday her “Kim’s Coat Drive for Kids” was a big success, with Southwest Michigan residents donating 95 coats at 13 area collections sites.
“I am so appreciative of all who participated in this year’s Kim’s Coat Drive for Kids, and of the St. Joseph County Great Start Collaborative for taking the time to wash the coats in preparation of being given away,” said LaSata, R-Bainbridge Township. “Your generosity will help keep nearly 100 local youth warm this winter. Thank you!”
The drive was held during the month of October to collect new or gently used coats for children in need.
